An excellent book! Unfortunately the publisher didn't include the author's Introduction which is an important part of the whole (so the missing star is the publisher's fault, not Belloc's). If I had realized that I'd have bought another edition also available in Kindle Store.

A must read for all Catholics . A good education to learn and understand the Catholic Church's contribution to the foundations of Western Civilization. Many good arguments to counter the modern secular society's bias against Catholics.
Excellent book and as true today as a century ago when it was written. Time has only confirmed the author's incites.
There is a lot worth thinking about here. Belloc's argument concerning the forces behind the Reformation's unfortunate success in England is quite compelling. And it is supported in large measure by Eamon Duffy's 'The Stripping of the Altars.'
